My name is Katie Bell, and I am the director of this documentary film. I was born and raised by a farmer and school teacher  on a farm in Bellville, Georgia, so farming is something that has always been an important part of my life. My freshman year of high school, I began acting which eventually led me into the film world where I would begin my journey to the Savannah College of Art and Design to pursue a degree in film and television. For my senior capstone project, I wanted to combine my love for the environment and sustainability while honoring my roots in a new way. I have managed to assemble a team of not only talented, passionate creators, but people that have quickly become close friends. I cannot wait to share this story with everyone that we have all worked so hard to create as my last project as a student. Moving forward, I look forward to continuing to learn and fight for our environment’s health as well as the right for healthy and humane food for all.
